Gas Scooters

Gas scooters have been around in European and Asian countries for quite some time; the Americans didn’t find them attractive, until recently. The American market opened its doors to gas scooters because of their many new styles and because they are being seen in many films. The rising price of gasoline is another reason for Americans’ acceptance of gas scooters.

Gas scooters are more advantageous over cars and motorcycles in terms of efficiency and convenience. The gas tank of most gas scooters use only a fraction of the expense needed to keep a car tank full. Some gas scooters even have an extra storage compartment, thus making it suitable for running local errands. Gas scooters are not only fuel efficient, but also quite cheap. The most expensive gas scooter costs much less than motorcycles and economy cars. Not only that, the insurance requirement for gas scooters is less restrictive than the equivalent liability coverage for cars and motorcycles. The reason for this is that the gas scooter cannot go at high speeds, thus lowering the probability of an accident occurring.

Compared to a gas scooter, motorcycles prove to be difficult to operate for day-to-day activities like shopping and commuting to work. Cars have many monthly payments, in addition to licensing fees and mandatory insurance. Due to its size, a gas scooter makes parking easy. Car owners have to go in loops looking for a suitable parking space, while a gas scooter can be legally parked in city-sponsored bicycle racks or even be secured to chains to sturdy objects on the sidewalk.

Although gas scooters are found readily in the retail market, not all retailers carry all the available styles. They keep only the popular models that most people ask for. However, those who want a unique scooter model just have to search online. All that one has to do is to surf the Internet for the numerous online scooter stores and choose the model and style of gas scooter required.

Fat Riders Causing Segway Scooters to Crash?

It figures it has finally happened; Segway Scooters proved what we already know. They once again proved that there are so many lawyers filing so many lawsuits that you cannot bring new products to market without the litigation causing the company to have problems.

I think what happened with Segway Scooters is that fat riders kept crashing on them, because they weighed over 400-500 pounds and then tried to sue the company. Also irresponsible folks with mean spirited lawyers out to make a buck saw this as a Golden Opportunity to sue the company.

Today we see that Segway is recalling all of its scooters some 35,000 plus Scooters, which have been sold. But I believe it is the Fat Riders causing Segway Scooters to Crash and the fat-cat lawyers trying to make big bucks on personal injury lawsuits? What has this world come to, as we deny ourselves future innovations and attack our best innovative companies?

This case study is yet more proof that we in America are over loaded and over lawyered, is it any wonder that we have stifled our future at every turn so a few greedy lawyers can walk away with all the proceeds of our talents and forward innovations? We obviously need to call in Caesar right away and get with a game plan strategy to fix these problems. Consider all this in 2006.

How To Choose an Adult Electric Scooter

An electric scooter is ideal for persons with limited mobility. It is a convenient mode of transportation that can give you better mobility than wheelchairs. Electric scooters are faster and easy to use and employ less physical effort to operate. It is an excellent low-cost way of traveling without the need for further assistance.

With modern technology, latest electric scooter designs are now more efficient. And because it runs on electricity provided by batteries you wouldn’t be bothered by high gas prices. It is more convenient to plug in an electrical outlet than go to the gas station for fuel. And as a bonus, you look way cooler in an electric scooter than in a wheelchair.

How do you choose an adult electric scooter? There are a lot of factors to take into consideration. The height and weight of the person who will be using the electric scooter will determine the size and make of the electric scooter you need to buy.

Lightweight electric scooters models are designed for people below 250 pounds, while the heavyweight types are best for people around 400 pounds. Taller people will not have ample leg space in small electric scooters. Smaller electric scooters may cost much less than bigger ones but be sure if that small scooter can provide a comfortable ride to the person who will use it. You must carefully check the specifications provided by the manufacturer to fully match the user and the electric scooter.

You also have to consider where to use the electric scooter. Will it be more indoors or outdoors? If you plan to solely use the electric scooter indoors then a three-wheeled electric scooter will be a better choice. Three-wheeled electric scooters offer better maneuverability, perfect for going around inside the house. And because three-wheeled scooters are lighter it is easier to drive or handle.

Four-wheeled scooters, on the other hand, are designed for outdoor use. With its sturdy design, four wheeled scooters are engineered to adapt to rough surfaces that are typical outside. There are also three-wheeled electric scooters designed for outdoor use.

A smaller and light electric scooter is not suitable on rough surfaces or for long distance travel. On the downside, heavy duty scooters may not provide maneuverability needed to go around inside the house. Transporting the electric scooter is also a factor you have to look into. Small lightweight electric scooters are easier to carry and take along with you anywhere. Meanwhile, heavy duty electric scooters will probably require vehicle lifts to be able to be transported anywhere you go.

The comfort and convenience given by electric scooters can be maximized with accessories like front baskets, headlight and cushion seats. Choose an appropriate electric scooter that will give you the benefit of moving independently. Consider all the right factors so you can be sure that you are making the right choice.
